Word, Image and Language: Come Read Us Another Story in Your Language | Participatory Performance, 2019

I create settings and situations that have potential to become sites for participation, performance and exchange of ideas. I don’t bind my work within one discipline or a single concept. I realize ideas in concrete form with the materials that have an already established identity that corresponds to the conceptual underpinnings of the work. 
 
The work operates on multiple levels: It could be taken as a static installation and be read as such on formal as well as conceptual level or can be activated by participation and performance. The viewer is not only the potential producer of the work itself but is also being viewed. The simple gesture of asking someone to read in their language, which in itself is an ordinary act, is transformed, through the usage of mixed and multi-media installation, into an extraordinary event. For some audience, it could perform as a platform that enables them agency.
